Teresa Gibeau has been involved in the arts professionally for over 25 years. Her love of dance has taken her from cheerleading for the Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts, to performing and adjudicating across Canada, before opening Dance Unlimited as co-owner and artistic director for eight years. For the past ten years, Teresa has taught, mentored and provides the Lois Tansey Scholarship for her former student’s successful studio, Amanda’s Academy of Dance.
Teresa’s training and certification in Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT), her positive approach and high expectations for every dancer has assisted many to go on and dance professionally. Some to become dance educators themselves, but all left with great dance memories.
Today she is a registered social worker by day where she is passionate about assisting families to empower themselves. By night her priority is her family, however she makes time for self-care by taking class herself. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of dance and this year the stage with AAOD!
