Jaimie Wood

Jaimie  began dancing at the age of two at Shelley’s Dance Company, training in preschool tap, jazz and ballet. At seven years old she moved to Amanda’s Academy of Dance where she increased her training to tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary and musical theatre at an advanced level. Jaimie graduated from the Academy in 2015.

In 2012, Jaimie had the honour to perform at the opening ceremony for the Special Olympics. She has also competed in Las Vegas, performed and attended a variety of workshops in Disneyland, and worked with choreographers Mark Kanemura (SYTYCD) and Taylor James (SYTYCDC).

Throughout her school years, Jaimie has had the opportunity to participate in and choreograph black light dancers and multiple tap routines for holiday celebrations. Jaimie completed three years at Dance McNally where she choreographed routines for the year end dance showcases.

Being one of Amanda’s Elite Team members, she was able to perform at the Oil Kings Teddy Bear Toss and Pink at the Rink games, Festival of Trees and the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Jaimie is excited to share her passion of dance with students and is proud to be part of the AAOD Coaching Staff.
